He has also taught at Cornell University and Florida International University in USA, as well as the National University of Singapore. He has been a visiting research scholar at the University of Texas, Austin USA; University of Leeds, UK; University of Warwick, UK; University of Western Sydney, Australia and the Helsinki school of Economics and Business Administration, Finland. His current teaching and research interests are in the areas on Hospital Management, Governance and Management of Health Sector, HMIS, Maternal Health, Child Health, Urban Health, HIV/AIDS and so on. Dr. Ramani has published extensively in international refereed journals such as Journal of Health Policy, Health Policy and Planning, Journal of Health Organization and Management, Interfaces, Naval Research Logistics, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Simulation and so on.
