He was awarded PhD (Mathematics) by the University of Roorkee in 1971. He has been a reviewer of many International journals like Journal of Applied Mechanics, Journal of Sound and Vibration to name a few. He became EMERITUS FELLOW in 2004 and held this position till 2006.
